1965 Julie Rogers – The Wedding

1965 Julie Rogers – The Wedding

Julie Rolls was born in London in 1943 and signed her first recording contract with Phillip Records in 1964. Not much happened with her first release. She released The Wedding as her second single, a song that Anita Bryant had released in 1961. The record peaked at #3 in the UK and reached the top ten on the Hot 100 in the US. It also topped the US Adult Contemporary chart.

It is estimated that over seven million copies of the song were sold worldwide.

She had two more hits reach the UK chart, but her only other appearance on the Hot 100 (Like A Child) peaked at #67.

Julie continued to record through most of the sixties and recorded new albums in 1976 and 2003.
