1978 Eric Carmen – Change Of Heart

1978 Eric Carmen – Change Of Heart

After Eric Carmen left the Raspberries in 1974, Eric Carmen pursued a solo career. He immediately had a pair of hit records in 1975 (All By Myself and Never Gonna Fall In Love Again).

During the next five years, Eric only reached the top forty on the Hot 100 three times. His last successful single during those years was Change Of Heart. Eric wrote and produced the single, which reached #19 on the Hot 100 and #6 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1978.

After a 1980 single stalled at #75, Eric simply put his music career on hold for four years. He co-wrote Almost Paradise with Dean Pitchford for the Footloose soundtrack, and the recording by Mike Reno (from Loverboy) and Ann Wilson (from Heart) reached #7 on the Hot 100 and topped the Adult Contemporary chart in 1984.

Eric returned to the top ten a few more times, ending with a 1988 song he co-wrote with Dean, Make Me Lose Control.
